What does Darling Downs Bullion offer?
We supply investment-grade gold, silver and platinum bullion for individual investors, SMSFs and other eligible purchasers.
What products can I buy?
Our range includes bullion bars and coins from leading Australian and international mints and refiners, including The Perth Mint, Intrinsic Tender, Germania Mint, Scottsdale Mint, the United States Mint, South African Mint and The Royal Mint. Product availability varies.
How can I place an order?
You can purchase in store at 526 Alderley Street, Toowoomba, through our online store, or by contacting our team by phone.
When will my order be dispatched?
Once cleared payment has been received in full and the product is available for dispatch, orders are generally sent within three business days via Australia Post Express. Tracking details are provided after dispatch.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payment in Australian dollars (AUD) by bank transfer, cash in store, and eligible debit or credit cards. Card processing fees may apply.

Orders, Cancellations & Shipping
Can I cancel an order?
Yes. If you cancel your order, your deposit will not be refunded and the order will be subject to our Market Loss Policy. You will be liable for any difference between the value of the metal based on the spot price at the time your order was placed and its value at the time of cancellation (market loss). Market losses may exceed the deposit paid. Any market gains will be forfeited, and a cancellation fee may also apply. Failure to pay any market loss or other amount owing may result in the outstanding amount being referred for collection.
Do you offer combined shipping?
Yes. We offer complimentary temporary storage for up to 30 days, or longer by prior arrangement, so multiple fully paid orders can be consolidated into one shipment. Contact us when you are ready to dispatch and we will confirm the combined shipping cost.
SMSF Purchases & Storage
Can I purchase bullion through my Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF)?
Yes. We regularly supply bullion to SMSF clients. Before purchasing, you will need to provide the required account and identification documents, including a copy of the SMSF Trust Deed where requested. Once your SMSF account is established, purchases can be made in the fund's name.
Can you store my bullion?
We provide complimentary storage for up to 30 days for completed orders. We do not currently offer a paid vaulting service. Any longer-term storage arrangement must be agreed with us before purchase.
Selling Bullion to Us
How do I sell bullion to Darling Downs Bullion?
Bring your bullion to our Toowoomba store together with current identification. We verify eligible products using non-destructive precious-metal testing equipment, including a Sigma Metalytics analyser, before confirming the buyback price.
How will I be paid for a buyback?
Subject to our identification, verification and transaction requirements, eligible buybacks under $5,000 may be paid in cash. Larger transactions are paid by EFT. Bank transfers may take up to three business days to clear.
Can I sell to you if I am not local?
Yes. Contact us before sending bullion. Once the items are received, verified and accepted, the buyback price will be determined in accordance with our current pricing at the applicable time and payment will be arranged to your nominated account.
